ANNOUNCEMENTS & CURRENT EVENTS

(MAY 2012)

1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTOR CROOM!!!! - May 1st is our Pastor's Birthday. Let's Celebrate and Praise God for another year.

2. Do you have an anger problem? Do you sin in your anger? FBC is offering ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES every Monday evening @ 6pm with a professional counselor. Please see Minister Rogers for more details.

3. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers! "Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise." Ephesians 6:2

4. Thursday, MAY 17TH is Moderator's night of the V.D. Annual Session. We are asking all to come out to support our Pastor's / Moderator's 2nd year of dynamic leadership.

5. SAVED, SINGLE SISTERS MINISTRY will be having A BRUNCH! Saturday, May 19th @ 11am. See Sis. M. Scott for more details. All "The Single Ladies" are encouraged to come out and fellowship.

6. It is THAT time again...MEN AND WOMEN'S DAY!!! Who's going to win this year? Come worship, fellowship and have lots of fun with us on May 27th @ 3pm!

7. DON'T FORGET...WELL OF THE DESERT is serving hot meals twice a week at FBC. All in need of a hot meal are welcomed to stop by on Monday’s & Tuesday's between 11:30am – 1:00pm.

9. MONDAY NIGHT MADNESS!~ Family Night ~ Come join Women's Missions, Youth Meeting and Saved Single Sisters 1st & 3rd Monday evenings from 6-8pm. All ages are encouraged to come out.

Valley District Baptist Association Announcements:

1. The Valley District Association Women's Fellowship and Brotherhood/Laymen's will be meeting @ First Baptist Church - Palm Springs on Saturday, May 5th @ 9:30am. Please come and support our Moderator: Pastor Croom, our New Women's President: Sis. Monique Young, and our Laymen's President: Dea. Charles Jones. Our focus for the 2011-2012 year is "Making Disciples for Jesus Christ".

2. This year's Annual Session will commence on Monday, May 14th and run through Thursday, May 17th. Congress Classes are nightly at 6pm. Dinner served nightly at 7pm. Worship will begin promptly at 7:30pm nightly. Thursday night - Moderator's Night!! Let's worship as a District!
